Writing Challenge

FROM Booking Through Thursday

  • Pick up the nearest book. (I’m sure you must have one nearby.)
  • Turn to page 123.
  • What is the first sentence on the page?
  • The last sentence on the page?
  • Now . . . connect them together….
(And no, you may not transcribe the entire page of the book–that’s cheating!)

Mine is Lost in a Good Book by Jasper Fforde and it goes like this..

“A trade,” he answered. “Jack Schitt for Landen.” “Splendid!” he enthused. “We’ll be hearing from you in due course, I trust, hmm?”

  1. Eragon by Christopher Paolini

The next morning Eragon avoided bringing to mind any of the recent events; they were too painful for him to consider. They stopped to rest when they reached the bottom near midday.

  2. Hi… got your blogsite thru chico’s… wow is this your book collection? mine is still under the works and i really do hope i’m as lucky as you are in finding good books at booksale…

  3. Hi Kat. Yeah its my modest book collection. I got most of them from Booksale🙂. It would have been a large collection by now if I keep a record of borrowers and asked them to return the books they borrowed. But its okay, as long as they enjoyed the books.

    Thanks for dropping by, Kat!
